I personally have never had Breast Cancer but I have numerous friends who do have it and that's why I felt the need to become involved with the SURVIVOR - Breast Cancer Stage IV Group. I may not totally understand the pain and the treatments and the chemotherapy one must go through when they have Breast Cancer but on the other hand I do understand what the survivors of the families go through. I was told by a very good friend just today that I am also a SURVIVOR. You may ask why since I don't have Breast Cancer . . . how can she be a survivor? . . .

I am a SURVIVOR because I have suffered a son's death by suicide . . so my main goal in being a part of this group, besides trying to help find out what the newest treatments might be or maybe find out about research for advanced stages of breast cancer . . is to hopefully also find ways to help the sons, daughters and the families of the Breast Cancer Stage IV patients cope with the grief when they lose their loved ones.
