1. Read about the project (a joint peer-to-peer linking project started by Intel and United Devices) here: http://members.ud.com/vypc/cancer/ The program has been tested and approved by two computer experts on our team, both in the computer business. Three such programs have come my way this year and this is the only one that meets with the SURVIVOR and cancer-survivor.org "seal of approval."

2. Join and download the PC Linking Project to Cure Cancer: http://members.ud.com/vypc/cancer/about.htm or here: http://www.intel.com/cure

3. Log in to your member profile, then go here to join the "cancer-survivor.org" team:
http://members.ud.com/services/teams/team.htm?id=7D657C57-2B50-41EA-B7A0-3E44AAAFEF57 If you don't see a link that says "click here to join this team" then it may have automatically joined you. You can always check back to your member profile to see if it has in a few minutes. If not,

4. Go to Team Managment/Alphabetical and look for "cancer-survivor.org" and join from there. We are also listed under Team Management/Membership and in the first 5 pages last I checked (pretty good for a club that started on April 17th out of 100 pages of teams and members).

5. Join up for the 2 prize sections. It takes a long time to earn a prize, but you might win a sweepstakes even earlier than that.

6. Once you get this going, you should leave the power ON to your PC. If you turn your PC off during the computation of a molecule which can take hours to days depending on the size and speed etc. of your system, you will go back to 0% on that task. If you want to turn your PC off wait until after a task has completed. I keep my power on all the time, but disconnect from the internet when not using it. The UD site also operates as a type of screen saver.

7. The UD site has great FAQs, member-to-member support and technical support. Go there first. When you find out something, share. There's a list.

If you have any other questions or problems let us know. Thank you for wanting to join this program. There is an email list for this group and I would like everyone on it. Please email me when you have joined the team and I will get you on the list.

Together we CAN make a difference!
